It's the first of December already! Last month of the year, and it's the day I've been waiting for patiently for ages! It's my last day in Melbourne this year, and I'm leaving back to Malaysia tonight! I really don't know how to describe what I'm feeling now, nervous, anxious, excited and overwhelmed all at the same time.
Anyway, since I have a couple of hours left, I decided to blog about the past month since I was too busy having exams and partying my life away the past 10 days.
NOV 5-20th; SECONDYEAR SECONDSEM FINALS
Exams have been so nervewrecking. It was a painful and dreaded three weeks, and what hit me the most was Business Finance. Oh God I swear I almost cried right after exiting the exam hall. It was so miserable. I have never ever sat for a paper like that in my whole two years of uni and this was the first paper I actually felt like I was going to fail. The moment I looked at the paper, I told myself "good luck Aud, forget about doing DS in summer, you are gonna have to do BF again" and I just feel like crying while looking at the clock for the last 5 minutes before the paper ended.
I quickly texted mummy and told her cause the night before I was on Skype with her and she said she wanted to ask me how I did for my Tax Law the previous week but I didn't tell her. This time I thought I would get so screwed cause I really felt like I had to fork out another $4k to repeat this subject and do summer school, but she was so nice about it and never even scolded me for not trying hard enough T__T
I really am blessed with the best mother ❤
I kid you not, I was so traumatised that I couldn't study that night and the day after, and thank God my next paper was the week after, else I would just kill myself on the spot. I was even telling myself, if IFA if gonna be as bad as this, I'm screwed for EPM cause it's two days back to back ):
Thankfully my last two papers weren't as bad, but I had stupid wisdom tooth problems that whole week, ugh. Super suay this exam period ):
NOV20th-30th; LIVING YOUNG AND WILD AND FREE
Post-exams period, and I have been marathon-ing my life away.
Most of my friends went back on the 24th but I stayed on for an extra week, but I'm lucky enough to have friends that are still around and spent a lot of time with them even if it's just lazing on the couch in Uropa playing board games (: Best company ever!
What I've been up to the past 10 days since exams have ended
Thursday; Nov 22nd: Mornington daytrip!
Separate blogpost later (:
SATURDAY; 24th Nov
#1 Goldleaf yumcha in the morning with cell before preparing for Thanksgiving!
Went to Paul's place after dim sum to prepare for Thanksgiving night in church. This year's theme was pirates and since we didn't have costumes we drew a large map of many lands instead and this was what our final product! (:
#2 ISM Thanksgiving night
Seeds 2012
Went out to Min Xuong for dinner after that and then it was back to Esther's place for the usual board games night and also to celebrate Brandon's early birthday.
#3 Blessed 19th Brandon!
MONDAY; 26th Nov
My last week left in Melbourne and I thought I was gonna be so lonely cause Wei Ling has went back, but I ended up having lots of plans and people to meet up with ❤
#1 Tea time with Jane @ Laurent in Hawthorn
First time catching up this semester and I'm going to miss her once she starts work in Swan Hill next year. She'll always be my special frogger friend (:
#2 Nike run in the evening.
It was my first time, but 6km mission accomplished!
Liz invited me to go and since it was my last week I thought I'd try out. I was actually scared I couldn't finish cause I hate running and can't even last 5 minutes on the treadmill ): When I told my trainer that I was going for the run he told me that I could easily do it given my current fitness level. I didn't believe him at first, but in the end I actually surprised myself! HAHAHA. 6km done in less than an hour *successkid* Can't believe I even struggled to run 5km last time and had to train for 2 months before running for the MPSJ 10km marathon back in 2010. I don't think I've ever felt fitter in my life before. All thanks to training ;)
TUESDAY; 27th Nov
Bluebird Espresso @ Collingwood
Brunch-ing on a rainy day with the SAM girlfriends for the last time this year. Da jie was leaving the next day, I am leaving soon, and Chee2 is going back in January. We shall meet again in Malaysia (': And of course, more brunch adventures next year (Y)
Spent a good two hours sitting down and catching up, of good food and gossips! Nothing better to cure rainy day blues than good coffee, good company, and dukkah eggs (:
WEDNESDAY; 28th Nov
Training in the morning, Melbourne Central sale in the afternoon, touch rugby in the evening, then Suzuki night market at night. So hardcore, but it was a good whole day spent with the cell.
THURSDAY; 29th Nov
Went to visit Aunty YF for one last time before I left since she's not going back to Malaysia this time, so the next time I'll be visiting her would be when I come back to Melbourne.
Took a train down in the afternoon and spent the whole day with her. It was the hottest day of the week, so after she picked me and the kids up, we went back to her place to chill, sit under the aircond and ate ice cream, then went shopping before dinner and she dropped me off at the train station late at night.
FRIDAY; 30th Nov
Finally had some spare time so I started cleaning my room and packing in the afternoon.
Went to the gym in the evening, then out for Jen's birthday later at night.
HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY! ❤
My dearest first friend in IH, uni twin and gym buddy (:
I don't know how I'd get through living in Melbourne if it weren't for you, and things would have been so different. So glad I could celebrate your big day with you this year!
x
There goes November.
Sigh, looking back, it's not been easy. But it definitely has been a great month despite the emotional ups and downs, with many memories and lessons learnt I'll definitely remember in life (':
Cheers to December! The last month of 2012, time to end it with a bang x
Just a few more hours and I'll be back in Malaysia, the land I call HOME :D
Much love, Aud xoxo
