Floating market & rose garden

Day #3
Woke up incredibly early and the van picked us up from the hotel at 6.40am and we headed to the floating market. They had to pick up other tourists too and the market is located outside of Bangkok so it was quite a drive there.

Boat ride!

It was super jammed! Lots of buyers and sellers, but it was an interesting experience :)

After the boat ride we went to the elephant park, but we didn't ride them. We were there for a short while only, then off we went to the handicraft centre where there was nothing much to see except souvenirs.

Carved elephants on display (:

After that we headed for lunch! It was a buffet lunch, but food was only so-so, nothing fantastic. And after lunch we went to the rose garden. The name is super misleading! It's not even a proper garden, it's actually just a place with elephant and cultural shows! D:

Sawadeeka!

Elephant show

Cultural show - Thai local music, wedding, Muay Thai, and cultural dance

Visited a gemstone factory before heading back

After that the van dropped us back at the hotel and we headed straight for dinner without even going back inside the hotel. Took the BTS skytrain to Central Chit Nom and had dinner at the food court. The food court in Thailand is different from those back home, they give you a card and you only pay after eating. It's a hawker stall concept but serving restaurant food :)

Four cheese baked pasta and coconut for myself and shared dessert- banana fritters, mango sticky rice, crepe cake, and banana caramel crepe ♥

Walked back to the hotel and was completely drained after that. It was the most exhausting day throughout our stay there, but a nice experience :)

Day 4, 5 and finale coming up soon!
